My next book features a teenager named Addie Queen. Addie is struggling – her dad is in jail for a white-collar crime, her boyfriend is acting weird, her mom is stressed out, everyone at youth group seems to be fake and her few times of peace are while practicing her violin or with her little sister, which she thinks is pretty pathetic. Things turn around when the trip she had been dreaming about for years but assumed was cancelled ends up happening – a sixteenth birthday trip to New York City. In NYC, everything gets turned upside down and her family is forever changed. It’s a book about a complicated family, secrets and learning how to accept the people you love for who they are – some of my favorite subjects.
I’m excited to stretch my creativity for this project. It’s the first time I’ve written a novel from the first person, which I really liked. Getting in to the head of a teenager was also interesting since I live with two of them :). I think it’s helped me be more empathetic of this stage of their lives, a time when so many of the many of the big questions present themselves and so much is at stake.
And the title is … Queens of New York. I’m excited to be publishing again with Flint Hills Publishing. Stay tuned for launch details in 2019!
Love, Molly

“Float On” is the first book I’ve read since Harry Potter that I didn’t want to put down. I can’t wait to read what you’ve come up with now (and am clearly a fan of novels about teenage drama, ha ha)!
Thank you so much! *Insert request to review on Amazon if willing* 🙂
